Toadstool Christmas ornaments made from paper mâché, with a red cap covered in white spots, a rounded white stem and fine red gill lines painted under the cap. In Germany the red and white toadstool is a traditional good-luck charm, and the German word Glückspilz, lucky mushroom, means a lucky person.
- Four toadstools, each on a natural twisted jute cord with a small metal ring.
- Made by hand, so each one varies slightly in texture, shape and paint.
- Hang them among the branches, on a pine garland or wreath, or from a shelf hook.
- For indoor use only. Keep away from candles, open flames and heaters.
- Between seasons, wrap each one in tissue and store it in a dry box.

How do they hang?
Where this piece has a hanging loop, hang it from a branch or a hook. Where it is made to stand, put it on a shelf or table. The Hanging line under Materials & care says which, where we have filled it in. Keep it indoors, well away from candles, open flame, heaters and hot bulbs. If you are unsure, ask us before you order.

Are they for indoors only?
Yes. Keep them indoors and dry. They are not for outdoor use, damp rooms or anywhere water can reach them.

How should I store them?
Wrap each piece in tissue and store it in a rigid box so nothing presses on it. Keep the box somewhere dry, inside the heated part of the house rather than a loft, garage or shed.

Are they toys?
No. They are decorations, not toys. Keep them out of reach of young children and pets.

Will mine look exactly like the photographs?
Close, but not identical. Each piece is made by hand, so small differences from one to the next are normal. Screens and room lighting shift colour too, so yours may read a shade warmer or cooler at home.
