Aala India is a UK home décor brand. Each bowl in this collection is designed in the UK, then made in Jaipur from paper pulp, pressed by hand over a mould, left to dry and painted by hand.
Because each bowl is made and painted by hand, each one varies slightly: a rim sits a fraction wider on one, a brush mark catches the light on another. The variation is the material telling you a person made it.

Bathrooms, kitchen splash zones, conservatories and unheated lofts or garages are the places paper struggles with most. Dust it with a dry, soft brush or a dry cloth. No water, no wipes, no cleaning sprays, and never the dishwasher.
